The Education Abroad office appreciates your interest in developing a faculty-led study abroad program. We look forward to assisting you in what will be a richly rewarding opportunity, both for your own professional development and the academic development of UW-Platteville students.
Although much work goes into developing and leading a successful study abroad program, you are not alone in this endeavor. Education Abroad is happy to assist and guide you along by helping remove some of the burden associated with program development and coordination.
Faculty and Academic Staff interested in leading a credit-bearing, short term study abroad program must submit a detailed proposal for review prior to planned departure following the timetable below.
Short-term faculty-led program proposal deadlines:
- February 1, 2014: Application deadline to lead a winterim, 2015 program
- February 22, 2014: Application deadline to lead a spring break, 2015 program
- May 1, 2014: Application deadline to lead a summer, 2015 program

All faculty planning on leading credit-bearing programs abroad must begin a proposal application on-line and complete the Planning Tool for Faculty-Led study abroad and submit a tentative budget, tentative itinerary, and syllabus through the on-line StudioAbroad system.
All faculty and academic staff interested in leading a short-term program abroad must attend the Faculty-Led Workshop at least once. Please contact Krista Uhrig (firstname.lastname@example.org) for further details.
